The honest answer has two parts. The published human study followed patients to three months, and the change was at its largest at three months, the last measurement: hyaluronic acid in the skin up 49% at one month and 68% at three. Nobody has published a longer follow-up for Exion Face yet. In our experience the firmness and glow from a course of four hold for several months and fade gradually. A single top-up session every few months keeps them. At Exion Clinic, 8 Devonshire Place, the plan and its price are in writing at a free consultation.
What the study shows about the timeline
- One month after the fourth session: hyaluronic acid up 49% in the three patients treated with radiofrequency and targeted ultrasound together.
- Three months: up 68%, so the skin was still improving two months after the last session.
- Comfort and safety: discomfort 2.3 out of 10, no adverse events; collagen and elastin were not analysed, so we do not claim a collagen figure.
The study was seven adults aged 51 to 64, three of them on the full treatment, sponsored by the manufacturer. It tells us the direction and the timing of the change; it does not tell us how long it lasts, and the worth it page sets that out plainly.
Why it fades, and what keeps it
In our experience the change fades gradually without a top-up; a top-up session, in our experience every three to six months, holds it. Exion Face does not move a muscle or lift a fold. For a face that has dropped, the clinician may suggest EMface, which our sister clinic provides at the same address; the Exion or EMface page explains.
What we measure
We photograph the face before the course with your consent, and again at three months, when the study says the change is largest, and we tell you then whether a top-up or a different treatment is the better plan.
