The chest between the collarbones and the top of the bust shows sun and sleep early: vertical lines, crepey texture and mottled colour. In our practice the décolletage is treated with the Face applicator, which warms the thin skin of the chest with radiofrequency and targeted ultrasound with nothing through the skin. BTL's gallery shows no chest image and no study measures it, and we say so plainly. Four sessions, usually with the neck, at Exion Clinic, 8 Devonshire Place, with the price in writing at a free consultation.
What it does on the chest
The skin is warmed to the temperature at which, in BTL's account, it builds collagen and its own hyaluronic acid. In our experience the crepey texture tightens and the vertical lines soften over the weeks after the course. It does not change the colour of sun-damaged skin, which Lumecca at our sister clinic treats, and the clinician plans the combination at the free consultation.
The evidence
The décolletage is a use we treat in our practice with the Face applicator; no study measures it, and we say so plainly. The face page sets out what has been measured.
The session and who it suits
Skin cleaned, a conductive gel, and the handpiece moved across the chest while the console holds the temperature, in our experience about 20 minutes; the skin is pink and warm afterwards, with sunscreen on the chest daily. Someone with crepey skin and lines on the chest who wants it to match a treated face and neck. Not with an electronic or metal implant, and in our practice not in pregnancy or breastfeeding or over an active skin problem. The sessions page sets out the course.
